A Year of Culture, Compassion, and Empowerment

The Yuva Tourism Club (YTC) of Sudarsanam Central School, Aranmula, comprising enthusiastic students from Classes 7 to 12, has successfully completed a remarkable year filled with cultural exploration and meaningful social engagement. More than just a platform for travel, the club nurtures young ambassadors of heritage, empathy, and responsible citizenship.

Embracing the Soul of Kerala

The club’s vibrant cultural initiatives celebrated the richness of Kerala’s traditions:

  • Onam Immersion
Celebrations went beyond festivity, offering students a deeper understanding of Kerala’s heritage through traditional games and engaging cultural activities.

  • Literary Tribute
Students explored the life and works of the legendary Vaikom Muhammad Basheer, culminating in a powerful and captivating drama presentation.

  • Kerala Piravi Celebrations
The club marked Kerala Piravi with traditional customs, authentic cuisine, and a lively ‘Open for All’ Food Fest, showcasing the diverse culinary heritage of the state.

School Tours 2025: Learning Beyond Classrooms

The YTC organized a series of well-planned educational and recreational tours, promoting experiential learning and community bonding:

Classes 8 to 12 visited Marayur and Munnar from December 12–14, 2025.

The Spirit of Seva: Social Responsibility in Action

The YTC strongly believes in giving back to society through meaningful initiatives:

  • Elderly Outreach
During Onam, students visited Karunalayam Old Age Home, Kidanganoor, sharing festive joy and heartfelt moments with the residents.

  • Inclusive Engagement
The club visited Lilly Lions Special School and Vocational Training Centre, Chengannur, promoting awareness and inclusion.

  • A Milestone in Empowerment
In a pioneering initiative, the YTC, in association with Malgudis International School, became the first institution to purchase trophies, mementos, and medals from the vocational unit of Lilly Lions Special School.
This initiative directly supports the empowerment and upliftment of special children, marking a proud moment of social responsibility.

Shaping Responsible Citizens

These initiatives go beyond events—they are purposeful efforts to nurture compassion, cultural pride, and social awareness. The Yuva Tourism Club continues to inspire students to grow as responsible, empathetic individuals who value both heritage and humanity.
