The Literary Club at Sudarsanam Central School plays a pivotal role in enriching language skills and fostering a deep appreciation for literature among students. Through a wide range of engaging activities in English, Malayalam, and Hindi, the club encourages creativity, critical thinking, and confident expression.

Celebrating Language and Literature

• Reading Week
  Observed with great enthusiasm, Reading Week inspired students to develop consistent reading habits across all three languages.

• Basheer Day Commemoration
  Malayalam literary heritage was celebrated through a remembrance meeting and competitions, helping students explore and appreciate the works of Vaikom Muhammad Basheer.

Creative Expression and Publications

Students showcased their talent through a trilingual handwritten magazine, featuring poems, stories, articles, and illustrations in English, Malayalam, and Hindi. This initiative encouraged originality, imagination, and collaborative creativity.

Training and Competitions

The club provided structured training for Sahodaya Kalotsav, preparing students in:

• Poetry Writing

• Recitation

• Speech

• Extempore

This focused training significantly enhanced students’ linguistic proficiency and performance in inter-school competitions.

Cultural Integration

The Literary Club actively contributed to Kerala Piravi celebrations under the theme “Keraleeyam 2025”, highlighting the state’s rich cultural and linguistic heritage.

Students were also guided in preparing multilingual speeches for the Independence Day programme, helping them express ideas confidently and effectively.

Inspiration Through Participation

A notable highlight of the year was the enthusiastic participation of teachers in the Teachers’ Kalotsav, where they showcased their literary and cultural talents, inspiring students through their active involvement.
