The Mathematics Club at Sudarsanam Central School is dedicated to fostering logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a genuine love for mathematics. Through a blend of practical learning and healthy competition, the club transforms mathematics into an engaging and enjoyable experience for students across all grades.
Pythagorean Day: Mathematics Beyond the Classroom
The club celebrated Pythagorean Day on September 16, 2025, for students of Classes 9 and 10, focusing on real-life applications of the Pythagoras Theorem.
Students explored their surroundings to identify practical uses of the theorem, presenting creative examples such as measuring building heights, designing roofs and staircases, mapping, and planning sports fields. The activity successfully highlighted analytical thinking and practical understanding, earning appreciation from teachers.
Mathematics Enrichment Activities
To make learning enjoyable and stress-free, the club conducted a series of enrichment activities for students from LKG to Class 8. These included:

Mathematics Talent Search Examination (MTSE)
The club actively encouraged participation in the Mathematics Talent Search Examination (MTSE), conducted by the Kerala Ganitha Sasthra Parishad.
A total of 80 students from LKG to Class XII participated in the examination held on December 5, 2025. Their enthusiastic involvement reflected strong preparation, competitive spirit, and a keen interest in excelling in mathematics.
