Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB)
Celebrating Unity in Diversity
The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) programme is a national initiative that aims to strengthen unity by fostering mutual understanding and cultural exchange between different States and Union Territories of India. Through the concept of state pairing, the programme encourages a sustained and structured connection in areas such as language, culture, traditions, cuisine, tourism, and sports.
This visionary initiative was proposed by Shri Narendra Modi on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (31st October 2015), commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It reflects the idea that India’s cultural diversity is a strength to be celebrated through interaction, learning, and shared experiences.
