The Biodiversity & Eco Club of Sudarsanam Central School plays a vital role in fostering environmental awareness and responsible citizenship among students. Through meaningful initiatives and active participation, the club encourages students to connect with nature and contribute towards a sustainable future.
World Environment Day Celebration
The academic year 2025 commenced with a purposeful celebration of World Environment Day (June 5) under the theme “Gift a Life – Plant a Bond.”
Students and teachers brought saplings to exchange with one another, symbolizing care for nature while strengthening bonds within the school community. Led by the Principal, Mrs. Bincy Ma’am, the initiative emphasized that small, thoughtful actions can make a significant impact on the environment. The event inspired students to take an active role in protecting and nurturing nature.
Students’ Biodiversity Congress 2025
As part of its continued efforts, the Eco Club actively participated in the 18th Students’ Biodiversity Congress 2025, held on October 4 at SVL High School, Kozhencherry.
With the theme “One Earth – One Future: Kerala’s Youth Uniting for Biodiversity and Climate Change,” the event included exhibitions, discussions, and competitions such as:
