Learning Through Service, Growing Through Compassion

As part of the CBSE SEWA (Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action) programme, Sudarsanam Central School actively engages its entire community—teachers, students, parents, and support staff—in meaningful service initiatives that nurture empathy, responsibility, and collective action.

Student Leadership in Action

Our students demonstrated remarkable initiative by organizing an Intramural Badminton Competition, taking charge of planning, scheduling, and officiating. This hands-on experience strengthened their leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship skills.

They also played a vital role in the Sahodaya Athletic Meet 2025, volunteering across various areas such as event coordination, athlete assistance, logistics, and discipline. Their dedication contributed significantly to the smooth and successful conduct of the event.

Extending Care to the Community

In a heartfelt outreach initiative, members of the school community visited a nearby Old Age Home, spending quality time with the residents. The visit included cultural performances and the distribution of lunch packs, creating a warm and caring environment while offering emotional support to the elderly.

Promoting Inclusion and Joy

The SEWA Club embraced inclusivity through its engagement with Lilly Lions Special School and Vocational Training Centre, Chengannur. Students and teachers interacted with the children, shared joyful moments, and contributed musical instruments to support their creative learning programmes—fostering a spirit of acceptance and compassion.

Service Through Collaboration

Teachers and students also volunteered for the Annual Sports Meet of Malgudis International School, Chengannur, hosted at the Aranmula campus. Their active participation ensured efficient coordination and the successful execution of the event.

Building Responsible Citizens

Through these diverse SEWA initiatives, Sudarsanam Central School upholds the true spirit of “learning through service.” Each activity is a step toward shaping socially responsible, empathetic, and proactive individuals who are ready to contribute positively to society.
